We've seen a number of airlines unveil some form of savings or discount in honor of Black Friday but I can't say that any that I've seen have been particularly exciting so far. Sadly, things don't get much more exciting with Lufthansa's Black Friday promotion in which a promo code will get you $100 off most fares. Fortunately, the fact that codeshare flights are eligible for the discount will make this a more useful promotion than it otherwise may have been.

Lufthansa has today confirmed that it will be introducing a 'buy onboard' menu of snack options on its long-haul flights to mirror what it already offers in Economy Class on its short-haul routes. The airline has said that this will not impact the complimentary meals and drinks already offered in long-haul Economy Class and Premium Economy but will be offered to flyers as an additional option.

Lufthansa Group (which includes Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian, and Brussels Airlines) has today announced that while passengers are currently expected to wear masks that cover their mouth and nose during boarding, during the flight, and during disembarkation, as of next month most face covering will no longer be in compliance with the Group's policies.

Lufthansa is currently promoting a short-haul Business Class deal that I've only just noticed and if you're looking to fly intra-Europe before the end of March 2021 (and you're booking for at least 2 people), this is a deal that may well be worth a closer look.

Lufthansa Group has today announced that two of its airlines will be adding significant new services to the US as the aircraft monolith looks to expand its flights out of Munich and Seattle from 2020.

A number of the Lufthansa Group airlines are currently offering a very attractive sub $1,700 roundtrip fare for travel between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Bangkok. The primary airlines involved are SWISS and Lufthansa but flights are also available on Austrian Airlines at select times of the year.

A number of Star Alliance airlines are currently offering attractive prices on Business Class fares for travel between Nice and Beijing. These fares are readily available and the travel dates span the next 11 months so finding a fare that works for you shouldn't be a problem.

Scandinavia has been the starting point for quite a few good Business Class deals recently (like the great fares to the US West Coast and Qatar Airways' Business Class fares to Asia) and now Star Alliance has joined the party by posting some very good Business Class fares out of Scandinavia for travel to China.

Right now SWISS and Lufthansa are offering some very attractive Business Class fares between London and New Delhi and, considering how respected SWISS' Business Class offering is (Lufthansa less so) these fares are very tempting indeed.

Lufthansa has announced that during the month of July it will be offering its long-haul Business Class passengers the "opportunity to experience what life is like in outer space – at least in culinary terms".
